This pattern is designed as an ‘extra’ for my Beaded Christmas Gifts and Cards book. It features two designs for motifs that could be used on a Keepsake Card.
You simply need seed beads for these motifs. I found size 8 were the ideal size. They still look good, but are big enough to make a good sized motif.
This beer glass is just over 1″ (2.5cm) high.
The beer motif is made using square stitch. As I mentioned, this pattern is an addition to the projects included in my ebook. So, the ebook will show you how to make the Keepsake card.
The ebook also includes a video demonstration of the technique. So, if that sounds helpful, then grab your copy here.
What is a Keepsake card?
If you are new to the idea of a Keepsake card, this is how it works. The idea is to create a card and gift in one. So, you bead a keepsake for the front of the card. Then, attach it so that the recipient can remove it. This little beaded keepsake is the gift. So, your recipient might use it as a decoration or charm. Or perhaps they attach it to a key ring as a permanent memento of an occasion.
I find it very easy to create these keepsakes for female friends. But what about the men in your life? So, that is why I created this beer motif. Of course, it will work for the ladies too!
I hope this will inspire you to try some more ideas of your own. If you don’t feel confident about designing, then I can help. I have a series of blogs that cover the basics for you. So, have a read here and I hope that will give you some confidence. Then just download some graph paper and get designing!
