I labelled these ‘Superduo Duets UK’ for the simple reason that us beaders here in the UK like to find beads locally! So, if you live outside the UK, I am very happy to ship to you. But, in all fairness, you may be able to find a local stockist in your country. The Superduo Duets are exclusive to the Beadsmith. So, you can contact them if you want to find out about local suppliers. You can also just see if your local bead shop stocks Beadsmith products. It probably does and, if so, you will be able to ask them to order some Superduo Duets for you.
So, having now talked myself out of a load of sales, let me tell you a bit more about Superduo Duets UK!
We have all come across that same problem. You see a bead colour on your screen and think it looks great. So, you order the beads. Then, your pack arrives and the colour is totally different from what you were expecting. You even wonder if the shop just packed the wrong beads by accident…!
The fact is, between camera settings, lighting and different computer screens, it is very hard to convey the true colour of beads in an online setting. So, if you are trying to colour match and you’re not sure what will work, you can order a sample.
I will send you 3 Superduo Duets (enough to check the colour). Your sample also includes a discount code. So, if you come back here and buy some beads from me, use the discount code, then the cost of your free sample, plus £1 (towards postage) will be refunded against your order.
Terms and Conditions
You can redeem your coupon against any beads, so it does not have to be the same as your sample. For example, if you ordered a sample of pearls, but decided they weren’t right. You could still come back and redeem your sample coupon as you buy some seed beads.
The coupon has no expiry date, but you can only use it once. If you have multiple coupons, you can use them all, but you must add each coupon code separately in your basket.
Coupons cannot be used to get a refund against a pattern or kit.
What are superduo duets UK?
Well, I’ve just explained the ‘UK’ bit. So, what are Superduo Duets? If you already know something about beading, you have probably come across Superduos. These are two-holed beads that measure about 2.5x5mm. If this is all double-Dutch to you, then check out this blog for more information.
Superduo Duets are basically just Superduos with a special two-tone colour. So, each bead is two colours! Pretty cool, huh!?
You can use these beads on their own. For a pattern like my beginner’s Twin Hole Herringbone bracelet, the Duets will create added dynamics. They automatically give a new depth of colour. However, they work brilliantly when you combine them with other single-coloured beads. Naturally, they sit well with ordinary Superduos, but they also work with other bead shapes and seed beads.
So, if you keep scrolling down, I have highlighted some patterns that use Superduo Duets. You might also like to try them out on some of your existing tried-and-tested Superduo projects.
These beads are all about the two-tone colouring. So, bear that in mind as you use them. It means you need to make a conscious effort to add each bead the right way around. It’s not difficult to do, but it is easy to lose concentration if you’re not careful!
As with all multi-holed beads, remember to check that both holes are empty before you use each bead. This will save you a world of frustration!
