14mm Dome beads are made in the Czech Republic and come in a variety of colours.
What are 14mm Dome Beads?
These beads have a flat back, so they appear as half a sphere. The front is extremely rounded! Each bead has one hole through it. So, you can use these for stringing and combine them with other seed beads.
They measure 14mm across the base and are about 8mm high. If you want to find out more, check out this blog.
How can I use Dome Beads?
If you take a look at the links below, you will find a range of patterns that use these beads. I have found them to be great for using as centres to round focals. Then, I used them to make beaded beads. So, I have created necklaces, pendants, earrings and a ring with these 14mm Dome beads.
How will you use yours? Well, these look as though they should make great Cabochons – which they do. The only challenge is in dealing with the structure. So, the hole sits at the back of the dome. This means the heavy front is liable to slip around, unless you secure it in place.
So, I invite you to try a few experiments. How can you secure these beads? Tip: the larger shaped seed beads are great for encasing Dome beads…
I sell these beads singly, for 40p each. So, you can just choose your colour from the menu above and order whatever quantity you need. The colours are ordered in the menu to match the order they appear in the images. So, the main image shows light plum.
If you use my beading supplies regularly, then you will know that I offer free samples in many beads. Regrettably, because I sell these singly anyway, I don’t offer the free samples.
When you have purchased your beads, your receipt will give you a discount coupon. So, you can pop back here and add some more beads, or grab a pattern, all with a discount.
If you have any questions about these 14mm Dome beads – or anything else – just drop me an email. I’m always happy to help!
